Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Ricochet Warfare(“we”, “us”, “our”) when you access or play Ricochet Warfare. By creating an account or clicking “Play”, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility & account

You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and allowed you to play. We can refuse, suspend or terminate any account at our discretion if we reasonably suspect a Terms violation, payment fraud, cheating, or abusive behaviour.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secret. Activity that takes place on your account is treated as authorised by you unless and until you tell us otherwise at support@ricochetwarfare.com.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Modify, decompile, scrape, automate, or reverse-engineer the game client or any part of the service;
  • Use cheats, bots, third-party hacks, packet manipulation, or any tool that gives an unfair gameplay advantage;
  • Harass, dox, threaten or impersonate other players, or post unlawful or hateful content in any user-controlled field (including display names);
  • Sell, trade, or transfer accounts or virtual items outside the service, or buy items from anyone other than us;
  • Attempt to disrupt the service, or use the service to attack any third-party system.

3. Virtual goods & cosmetics

Cosmetics, Sparks (soft currency), Battle Pass tiers and bundles are licences granted to your account for personal entertainment use. They are not redeemable for money outside the service, have no real-world cash value, and cannot be sold or transferred. Cosmetics are visual only — no item we sell affects gameplay outcomes (no pay-to-win).

We may add, remove, retire, re-balance, or re-price any item. If we permanently remove an item you purchased and the removal is not for a Terms violation, we will offer you a comparable replacement or refund the unconsumed portion.

4. Payments & refunds

Purchases are processed by Stripe, Inc. and subject to Stripe’s own terms. Prices are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise indicated. You authorise us (and Stripe) to charge the payment method you provide for the amount shown at checkout, plus any applicable taxes.

5. User content

Display names, post-match feedback and any other text you contribute are “User Content”. You retain ownership; you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, display and distribute that content as needed to operate the service. You are solely responsible for what you submit.

6. Service availability

The game is provided as-is. We may release patches, change modes, schedule playtest windows, or take the service offline for maintenance, updates or moderation. We do not guarantee uptime, frame-rate, latency, or that any specific feature will remain available.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Account page; doing so revokes your licences to virtual goods. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with or without notice. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (payments, IP, disclaimers, indemnity, dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

8. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) US$50. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS OR LOST GOODWILL.

10. Disputes & governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. Where applicable consumer-protection law gives you stronger venue rights, those laws prevail.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date and, where required by law, with reasonable notice before they take effect. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
