Getting started
How do I play?
Hold the line, predict the bounce, bury the payload in the other player’s goal. You don’t move — your turret aims and fires. The default keys are mouse aim and Space/click to fire. Mobile players get a touch stick.
Full controls and tips are in the in-game tutorial. From the home page, hit Play and pick any mode.
What modes are there?
- Classic — the OG arena. Push the payload to win.
- Blitz — short rounds, big payoffs. Best for daily challenges.
- Survival — outlast the spawning waves. Solo or with a friend.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play as a guest. Signing in (top right) unlocks progression, the locker, the battle pass, and the global leaderboard.
Progression and rewards
What are XP, Sparks, and the battle pass?
- XP raises your account level and unlocks free-track battle-pass tiers. See your full ledger, per-mode breakdown, and earned milestones on your progress page (also reachable from the level chip in the header or your avatar menu).
- Sparks are the soft currency you earn by playing. Spend them on cosmetics in your locker.
- The battle pass is a 60-day cycle of cosmetic rewards. Tiers are claimed on the battle passpage after you’ve earned the XP.
How do I earn XP?
Every finished match credits XP for participating, winning, scoring, trick-shots, medals, comebacks, and your first match of the day. Daily challenges add a second pile on top, and active boosts (Founders, weekend 2×, first match of the week) multiply the base.
What are daily challenges?
Three rotating objectives that reset at midnight UTC. Each one pays out XP and Sparks. They show up under the home page’s “Today” strip and after every match.
Where does my progress save?
For signed-in players, every match writes to our database and syncs across devices. As a guest, your settings and local leaderboard are stored only in your browser.
Payments
How do purchases work?
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details never touch our servers. You’ll get a Stripe receipt by email and (for EU customers) a compliant invoice.
Available purchases today: the Founders Pack, the Battle Pass premium track, and à-la-carte cosmetics in the locker.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — within 14 days, under the conditions listed in our refund policy. Email support@ricochetwarfare.com from the address on your account with your Stripe receipt ID and we’ll respond within 3 business days.
My purchase didn't show up.
Refresh the page first — Stripe webhooks usually settle in under 30 seconds. If it’s still missing after 5 minutes, head to supportwith your Stripe receipt ID and we’ll investigate.
Account
How do I change my call sign?
On the settings page, or from the welcome card the first time a match ends with an auto-generated handle. Names are filtered for profanity automatically; if Save is greyed out, the rejection reason shows beneath the field.
Signed-in players get one rename every 30 days. The current cooldown (if any) is shown next to the Save button. Your old call sign stays discoverable as an alias for 14 days after a rename so friends can still find you.
What's the #TAG next to my name?
A 4-character player tag we generate when your account is created. It lets two players pick the same call sign without fighting over it — the tag is what disambiguates them. You’ll see your full handle (e.g. Trickshot#4G7Q) on your profile, in the friend-add flow, and on a hover over your row on the leaderboard. The killfeed and lobby keep the chrome clean by showing just the call sign.
How do I delete my account?
Open the account pageand use the “Delete my account” button at the bottom. You’ll be asked to type a confirmation phrase, and the deletion is immediate and permanent — your profile, cosmetics, XP, daily and battle-pass progress, equipped loadout, and stored purchases are removed, along with your Clerk identity. Anonymous match feedback and aggregate KPI data stay (no link back to you).
Stripe receipts are retained by Stripe for tax-law compliance. If your jurisdiction requires those redacted too, email support@ricochetwarfare.com.
Technical
What browsers do you support?
Latest two versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop, plus iOS Safari and Chrome for Android. We test on a Chromium baseline; if something breaks on your setup, tell us.
The match feels laggy. What can I do?
- Close other heavy tabs (videos, big web apps). The game runs at 30 Hz client-side and shares the canvas thread.
- On mobile, try an alternate Wi-Fi or 5G — the matchmaker picks the closest PartyKit region but a flaky link anywhere in the path will be felt.
- If you’re on macOS, disable Low Power Mode for the tab’s window — it throttles canvas frame rate.
I found a bug.
File it on our support page with the steps to reproduce, your browser, and a screenshot if you can. We read every report.
